Refurbishment without disruption
CMBM were engaged to refurbish a head office in Brisbane, focusing on upgrading bathroom and kitchen facilities. The project, executed over a span of just 7 weeks, included a complete scope of works from site establishment to the final builders clean. The objective was to ensure the swift and efficient delivery of the project, allowing employees to promptly return to their daily operations.

Site preparation & disconnection
Safety was a paramount concern in the bustling office environment. CMBM meticulously established safety protocols, including the installation of bollards, clear signage, mesh barriers, and the placement of black plastic to protect the office’s carpeted areas.
Works initiated with the secure disconnection of plumbing and electrical systems to ensure the safety of all personnel involved, and to safeguard the existing infrastructure. This was followed by careful demolition of the pre-existing structures.

Interior works
Our carpenters introduced a modern and aesthetically pleasing touch to the office amenities by installing custom fixtures and fittings. Custom joinery was also installed, enhancing storage and functionality.
Our team also completed a rough-in of plumbing and electrical infrastructure. For plumbing, this involved positioning and connecting water supply lines, drain lines, and vent stacks in the bathroom and kitchen facilities. For electrical works, this involved running wiring, cables, and conduits to their intended locations for outlets, switches, and fixtures.
Following the rough-in, a final fit-off was executed to install the operational components of the electrical and plumbing works, including taps, switches, and outlets.

Project Completion and Finalisation
The final phase involved the fit-out of the space with new fixtures, fittings, and furnishings, turning the bathroom and kitchen facilities into functional spaces.
The work zone was efficiently disestablished, facilitating a seamless transition from construction to everyday operations, with a thorough final builders clean leaving the spaces immaculate and ready for immediate use.
